For me, art is an unfolding of myself into the world – a simultaneous reaching inward and outward. I reach outward toward the dream of whoever I am working for, trying to connect with the essence of what they envision. Then I turn inward and quietly enjoy the materials before me, sitting through periods of frustration, discouragement, a desire to give up, until something breaks through and my ego steps aside long enough for the emergence of what wants to become.
